Privacy and Cookies Policy
This document describes how personal data is processed when you use the Paweł Raźniak Law Firm website or contact the firm. Last updated: 15 October 2026.
1. Data controller and contact details
The data controller is advocate Paweł Raźniak, operating Paweł Raźniak Law Firm at ul. Marszałkowska 58/15, 00-545 Warsaw, Poland. For data protection enquiries, contact: kancelaria@adwokat-razniak.pl, tel. +48 602 590 326.
2. What data do we process, and why?
When you contact the firm, we may process your name, email address, telephone number (if provided), and the subject and content of your correspondence. We use this information to answer enquiries, take requested steps prior to entering into a contract, communicate with you and, where necessary, establish, pursue or defend legal claims.
Depending on the circumstances, processing is based on Article 6(1)(b) GDPR (steps taken prior to entering into or performing a contract), Article 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interests in handling correspondence and legal claims), or Article 6(1)(c) GDPR (legal obligations). Where processing of special categories of personal data is necessary and lawful, an applicable condition under Article 9 GDPR is relied upon, in particular Article 9(2)(f) GDPR.
Technical data relating to your use of the website, including your IP address, may be processed by our hosting provider to deliver the website, maintain its security and diagnose errors.
3. Is providing data mandatory?
Providing information in correspondence is voluntary, but we need enough information to identify and respond to your enquiry. Sending an enquiry does not in itself establish a lawyer–client relationship.
4. Contact form
In the current version, the website form does not send messages to the website server. Completing the form and clicking the button generates an email draft in your default email application. The message is sent only after you confirm it in that application. It is then handled like other email correspondence.
5. Recipients of personal data
Data may be shared with providers of services necessary to run the law firm, particularly email, hosting and IT services, to the extent required to deliver those services. Where there is a legal basis, data may also be disclosed to authorised public bodies. Any transfers outside the EEA will depend on the providers’ arrangements and be subject to appropriate safeguards under the GDPR.
6. Data retention
We retain correspondence for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and follow-up communication. If we begin working together, the retention period will reflect the nature of the matter, applicable legal obligations and limitation periods for claims. We do not retain personal data longer than necessary for these purposes.
7. Your rights
Under the GDPR, you may request access to your data, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and, where applicable, data portability. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw consent without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out beforehand. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the President of the Polish Personal Data Protection Office (uodo.gov.pl).
8. Cookies and similar technologies
The site uses the free CookieConsent tool to manage optional technologies. The necessary cc_cookie cookie remembers your preferences for up to 180 days. An interactive Google Map is loaded only if you enable the “Functional — Google Maps” category. You can decline optional technologies and change your preferences at any time via “Cookie settings” in the footer. The current website files do not include analytics or advertising scripts. Actual cookies set by service providers should be verified on the production website.
9. Google Maps and third-party services
The map section is displayed immediately, but the interactive Google Map is loaded only after the visitor consents to functional cookies. Once activated, the browser connects to Google, which may process technical data and use its own technologies. More information: Google Privacy Policy.
The website also contains standard links to Facebook, LinkedIn, WhatsApp and our Google business profile. Clicking these links takes you to external services governed by their providers’ own policies. Merely linking to such services does not mean that their tracking tools are enabled on this website.
10. External fonts
The current design downloads fonts from Google Fonts. Loading these fonts may involve sending technical data, including your IP address, to the provider. We recommend hosting the fonts locally before publication to avoid these connections.
11. Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated if the website’s features, service providers or applicable laws change. The current version will be published at this address.
